1)     New Tricks

“New Ticks” is a British television drama series that follows the work of the fictional Unsolved Crime and Open Case Squad of the Metropolitan Police Service. Led by Detective Superintendent Sandra Pullman, it is made up of retired police officers who have been recruited to reinvestigate unsolved crimes. New Tricks is set in different places around London. The target audience is middle aged people to older viewers because it is quite a slow paced program and it is quite boring, there isn’t really any action either.

2)     Hunted

Australian actress Melissa George stars as Samantha, an espionage operative for "Byzantium", a private intelligence agency. She survives an attempt on her life, which she strongly suspects was orchestrated by members of her own squad. After recovering and returning to active duty, she goes back to work undercover as a nanny, not knowing who tried to kill her or whom to trust. It becomes evident that the attempt on her life is tied into a horrific event from her childhood. The first series will take place mainly in London. If the show is commissioned for a second series, each series will take place in a different European city. The New York-based actress will move to London for six months of the year to film the show. The target audience is for younger adults because there is a lot more action and it is more interesting.

3)     Homeland

Homeland is a drama/thriller series developed for American television by Howard Gordon and Alex Gansa, and based on the Israeli series Hatufim created by Gideon Raff. The series stars Claire Danes as Carrie Mathison, a Central Intelligence Agency officer, and Damian Lewis as Nicholas Brody, a U.S. Marine. Mathison has come to believe that Brody, who was held captive by al-Qaeda as a prisoner of war, was turned by the enemy and now threatens the United States. The series is broadcast in the U.S. on the cable channel Showtime, and is produced by Fox 21. It premiered on October 2, 2011. The first episode was made available online, more than two weeks before broadcast, with viewers having to complete some tasks to unlock access.

4)     CSI Miami

CSI: Miami follows a South Florida team of forensic investigators/police officers who use both cutting-edge scientific methods and old-fashioned police work to solve crimes. Lieutenant Horatio Caine heads the team of investigators while working crimes in the steamy tropical surroundings and cultural crossroads of Miami. Horatio, his second in command Detective Calleigh Duquesne, and their team probe cases similar to those of their Las Vegas counterparts, but Miami CSIs are cops first and scientists second.

today we watched an episode of  "CSI miami", i think it was very good because it was very interesting and exiting and there was quite alot of action. i prefered it to new tricks because it was alot more modern, i know this because there was lots of science equiptment whereas in new tricks there was not alot of modern things like science equiptment.

New Tricks series 9, episode 5: body of evidence

Today we watched one episode of ~"New Tricks", i found it quite interesting and good but i would prefer to watch something like "NCIS" or "CSI" becuase they have much more action and they are much more exiting. I think that New tricks is aimed at older veiwers because it is a slow paced programme and there is not exactly any action at all. The things i would expect to see in a crime drama like "New Tricks" are:

-Bodies
-A morgue
-Police
-Evidence and Technical police language
-A chase scene
-An interrigation (good cop bad cop)

i have seen most of these in this episode of "New Tricks". i saw the dead body when the police officers were examining it. there was a morgue because  the police officers went  to it so they could find out who the body is. there was obviously police officers in the episode because it is a crime drama, the bad thing was that there was not a chase scene in the episode. there was an interigation and police evidence and technical language.
